How to Choose a Honeymoon Destination

So many choices are out there when trying to decide where are you going to go for your honeymoon. Here are some tips about deciding where to go on your honeymoon

  • Think about your dream location - a place that you will create memories and the beginning of a new life with your partner.

  • Plan early and make sure that you have accounted for your honeymoon in your wedding budget.

  • Make sure you have secured the time off of work, I have seen this many times before where the honeymoon has been planned only to be cancelled because they could not take time off work

  • What do you want to do on your honeymoon? Do you want a relaxing vacation, sitting on the sand, an adventurous one or maybe a little of both? Take part in exciting activities by exploring the destination together.

Travel Tips for a Trip

You may have heard these tips somewhere before but as a travel advisor I think that they are valuable

  • Always have Travel Insurance - you may not think you need it, but in an emergency it can be life saving.

  • Make photocopies of important documents i.e passports, travel itineraries, travel insurance polices, etc. For example, what I do with my clients is have them send me a copy of their passports, that way if they passport was lost or stolen, or if I need to make changes to their travel plans, I have their info.

  • Learn common phrases of the local language

  • Learn a little about the culture and customs of the country you are visiting

  • Be flexible - plans may have to change travel delays may happen so try not to get upset when things go wrong.

  • Can't live without our devices so make sure you have you packed your chargers and converters.

  • Stay Hydrated - drink plenty of H2O

  • Get your vaccinations  - nothing worse than arriving to your destination and getting sick

  • Let someone at home know of your travel plans especially if you are travelling solo
